having lyrical content that relates to those who have ever felt lost or that they never belonged and anyone who’s experienced heartbreak or a loss of unity. started in 2017 by Frontman, Kevin Barry. Borderline Natives got their first bit of momentum playing local clubs in Nashville and the surrounding areas. in 2019 the band began finding its legs with the addition of Bass Player, Bobby Groesbeck, Drummer, Kaleb Luebchow. and Lead Guitar Player/Vocalist Ivan Ayala. after a few single releases including Two Rivers and their intimate Live Session at Common Man Studios, Borderline Natives announced their debut full length album,

“An Endless Struggle For The Proper State Of Mind”

Released in 2021 the band paired that announcement with the release of the albums' first single Best Intentions followed by the albums second single, Real Ones.

After two years of supporting their first record the band is currently tracking their 2nd full length release

During 2022 Borderline Natives consisted of two core members, Kevin Barry & Bobby Groesbeck.

A landmark year for the duo had them snagging gigs at some of Nashville’s best venues in a self described “opening for everyone” phase. The duo recruited Drummer Brandon Funera, they have consistently delivered an absolutely electric live show, all in support of their first album, ‘An Endless Struggle For The Proper State Of Mind’. 

Early in 2022, the band entered the studio with frequent collaborator Dan Swank. Over the course of a year, the band crafted what would become their second release: ‘Welcome To Eastlandia’. The second single, ‘Pretty Little Hand Grenade’ sees the band diving head first into more emo and pop elements while maintaining their signature sound all while pushing it forward.
